What is a Loren Davidson performance like? It's an chance to escape for a few hours from your everyday stress and routines. It's palm trees, pirates, parrots, and the occasional beach toy, parasol drinks and Mardi Gras all year 'round. It's a virtual vacation without long lines or metal detectors, where you can "dress down" for that island vacation you never got around to taking. It's a chance to make friends and hang out with people who don't let the bad days get them down. People who know how to have a good time and aren't embarassed to do it. It's a fun combination of original music and cover tunes, most of which would sound right at home at a Jimmy Buffett concert. January 13, 7:30 PM: Wine Affairs, 1435 The Alameda, San Jose CA. Shows here are turning into quite the party, as my "regulars" and the wine bar regulars all get together and have a marvelous time. Dozens of wines on tap, dozens of microbrew beers in bottles, and some really tasty tapas and desserts make this a must-attend event. Try it; you'll be glad you did, and we'll be glad to see you! January 29, 8 PM: Panama Bay Coffee Co., 2115 First St., Livermore CA. It's back to the island decor of this friendly community coffeehouse.
