Degrees of separation

Robin Ruddy, the lady who plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, and banjo on my new CD, Tropical Troubadour, appeared in Terri Clark's backup band on the CMA Music Awards show on CBS last night. Robin also owns The Parlor, the studio we used in Nashville, and was extremely helpful in bringing together the musical team there.

I've got that Key West Habit...

Key West was fabulous! With the help of Lydia, our local Parrothead Club president, I managed to hand out about 80 samplers. Included in the distribution were a couple that I was able to hand to people who tour with Jimmy Buffett. They may end up as unlistened-to drink coasters, but sometimes you've just gotta take the chance.

I played a four-song set break on Sunday Night during the Stars on the Water show at Conch Republic Seafood Company. Several folks from our local Parrothead Club and a few others whom I'd met in Key West came to cheer me on. Special thanks to Jerry Gontang, of Stars on the Water, for letting me share his stage!
