America's Vacation Deficit

I just read an excellent article on MSNBC advocating that we take all of our vacation time and then some. And lamenting the fact that not only do Americans get fewer paid vacation days per year than our counterparts in most First World countries...but most people don't take all of the days they're entitled to!

It's no wonder that people flip each other off on freeways. We get too tightly wound, we don't take the time to unwind...and boom!

Not to mention the health effects of stress - higher blood pressure, higher chance of strokes, heart attacks, overeating to compensate...these things take years off your life and lower the amount of enjoyment you get out of the years you've got left.

Vacation days, mental health days...take 'em or lose 'em.
